David started his music career at age 6 when he started taking piano lessons. His first teacher usually did not take on students that young, but quickly changed her mind after hearing him play. Over the following ten years he was entrenched in music theory and the classical masters, and dazzling audiences at piano recitals.
Then he heard Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Who and the Beatles.
It was then that Dave bought his first bass, a Peavey T40. Not quite a Fender.... well, NOTHING like a Fender P-Bass, but it was enough to get him on the way to playing "The Real Me", "YYZ", "The Song Remains The Same" and "Sweet Leaf" within his first year playing the instrument.
Throughout the "80's and 90's, Dave has played bass and piano in many different Rock, Metal, Ska and Jazz bands including Riptorn, Semanon, The Snearing Crickets, Echo Static, and winning first place at the "Sony Go East" competition in New York City while playing with Man Bites Dog.
Since moving to New Jersey, Dave has played bass and keyboards tracks on Anthony's current CD, Familiar Journey, and occasionally plays with other local musicians.
